There have been "takedown" variations of the AR-15, but the disassembly procedure is usually a bit cumbersome - until now. Paul Levy takes us on a walkaround of the "FoldAR" upper receiver. The FoldAR unlocks and folds just ahead of the receiver for storage or unobtrusive transport. Through a carefully engineered locking mechanism, the FoldAR thunks open and closed with the reassuring solidity of a German luxury car door. It absolutely will not come loose when you're shooting AND it retains zero! The FoldAR team ran it through multiple fold/unfold cycles and tested it on scientific measuring equipment at Texas A&M University to find NO noticeable changes in point of impact.
