We already live in a world of abundance, but it seems that 99% of the people just don't know it yet or are unable to see it.
I think everybody can agree that we all need food to think. So let's break it down exactly how we are currently using our global food resources.
One estimate is 821million people or 1 out of 9 are still hungry in the world, and ironically 672million or 1 out of 8 adults are obese, we are only using 55% of our food-crop calories to directly nourish people, 36% of that highly valuable food-crop goes straight to feed animals – but calorie efficiency from animal products can be as low as 40% in the instance of milk or all the way down to 3% in the instance of beef and the rest a whopping 9% of crops are being use for biofuels and industrial products, not food. And on top of all of that 50 percent of total food weight is lost or wasted before it can even be consumed.
By raising awareness and sharing know-how globally, the current agricultural space could produce up to 58% more food than it does today.
So we don't need to cut down more rainforest to make more room for agriculture, we have enough. We don't need another social media platform, video-sharing website, search engine, e-commerce platform, fast-food chain, banks, smartphone you name it, we already have all that too.
What we do need is an income and not a basic one, but a comfortable one.
Then we can stop being busy serving the 1% and have more time to focus on the things that really matter in our own lives, our children, our families, our friends, the quality of education, having a healthy lifestyle, etc.
It'll be a tremendous change, but this change will be for the better future for all of mankind. If we don't act and start now – WHEN WILL WE? TOMORROW?
