Welcome to my guitar lesson channel! Remember, this is a lesson-focused endeavour. My guitar is supposed to be louder in the mix to make it stand out - sometimes maybe too much, but I'm learning here, as well. If you really want to hear what I hear, put on good headphones! "Soak Up the Sun," by Sheryl Crow. This was a number one on Billboard! It's such a total California beach song. It's just so fucking great! Sheryl's easygoing Santa Monica delivery and wicked rhythm guitar by the outstanding Peter Stroud. That guy is a pop rock walking encyclopedia. Like Chuck Simms. But this guy really knows the gear too. He co-founded "65amps, a hand-wired boutique guitar amp company. It's what he always plays. I envy his tone and taste immensely.
Why this is important to Rhythm Guitar:
The interlocking riffs between the two guitars and the one more acoustic in this track work perfectly to support Sheryl's lyric. She really has something to say here, so it's best just to keep out of the way - in cool way. Which these guys do!
It's a gas to play.
