Diversity in teams improves problem-solving, in turn improving the outcomes of the work by these teams. To this end, two committees appointed by Dean Lee Goldman, MD—one made of women faculty, the other composed of diverse faculty—met over several months and made recommendations that will support the success of all our talented faculty at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
