The Langer Houz Lake filled with garbage, weed and water hyacinth. Once clean and free of pollution, the Lake is now a cesspool, slowly turning to a garbage landfill with tons of garbage in it. A beautification project was taken by the officials and area MLA, 14 years ago, promising that this water body is provided with a sewage treatment plant and a park. However, there is no progress in work seen at the moment, as water hyacinth covers a major portion of the lake, becoming breeding ground for mosquitoes.
