I'm playing on a Oculus Rift CV1 and I've got a few mods installed, which you can see a list of on Part 1. The reason for the bars on the sides is because if I wanted to make it fully widescreen, I'd have to crop the top and bottom even more which would mean you'd see less of the game and the shakiness would get amplified. I recommend viewing at 60 fps, it makes the shakiness a little more bearable.
