The required men's haircut for Umrah and Hajj include two areas. The size area and the hair length. It is praiseworthy to shave head during Hajj and Umrah. Prophet Muhammad's صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ praise was 3 times more for the men who shaved their hair completely when compared to those who trimmed. The only exception is during Umrah that comes before Hajj. In that case a person needs to trim their head so they can shave it after Hajj.
