Sophie and some children enjoy their chicken and chips, cheese, chutney, cherries, and chocolate, which of course means we're learning about the letters CH. Meanwhile, Lisa is competing in the National Junior Games - a tournament featuring archery, table tennis, snooker, basketball, and more - while brother Richard photographs them all on his fantastic camera that's got an auto-rewind feature and everything. We're then treated to the story Super Dooper Jezebel by Tony Ross, accompanied by some superbly fun animation, and a final song about challenges. A couple of observations... (1) They manage to get through that whole segment about the National Junior Games without once drawing attention to the fact that it's specifically for young people with (according to the current website) "a physical or mild sensory impairment". Top marks for just letting the pictures speak for themselves without prejudice. (2) Top marks also to Sophie for apparently being able to miss or score at will in netball and knock down all the skittles - including that final solitary one still standing - all while singing a song. I'd be there for days trying to do that.
