Fortunately working the core is something you’re probably doing already, because so many exercises involve it. Your mind might leap to midsection-focused moves like crunches when you consider core work, but any exercise that involves both your upper and lower body will also challenge your core, as will any move that requires you to maintain your balance.
That said, it’s still a good idea to add some core-specific workouts to your training regime. Workouts like the one you’ll find in vids. If you spend a few weeks working hard in the gym and eating a strict, healthy diet that puts you in a calorie deficit every day, you’ll start to notice the emergence of a set of upper abs. At this point you’d be forgiven for making the assumption that the rest of your abs are set to follow in a similar timeframe and start planning how you’ll make best use of your washboard six-pack in the next few weeks, if not days.
