Can technology help us to age in place? According to my two guests, the answer to this question is a resounding "yes!" I always frown when I hear people talk negatively about the role that technology plays in our lives. While some technologies do have the potential to isolate us from others, on the whole, technology has been a positive force in the world.
Take aging in place, for example. In the future, robots may help us to keep our homes clean and our garden's tidy. There are already prototype wheelchairs that can climb up stairs. And, don't even get me started on the medical breakthroughs that our generation will likely experience.
