Janče - A place in Slovenia you've probably never heard of.

Janče - A place in Slovenia you've probably never heard of. Janče is a small dispersed village in the hills to the east of the Slovenian capital city, Ljubljana. It’s the highest point in the range, and it’s centred around the parish church of Saint Nicholas, and the local Planinski Dom (Mountain Hut). The mountain hut also plays host to two annual festivals.

This entire region is not only home to three marked trails, the Blueberry Trail, Fruit Road and Chestnut Trail, but is also a great place for cycling, walking and even a nice Sunday drive. The area is also less frequented by tourists, so the only other people you are likely to come across are locals or people from Ljubljana.

The church is visible from all around, and from some locations you can even photograph it with the beautiful Kamnik Alps right behind it.

Take a tour of this great place in Slovenia that you’ve probably never heard of.
