Making Freestanding Shelves using Warped Timber [78]

Making Freestanding Shelves using Warped Timber [78] Warp is a shelving system inspired by the natural movement that occurs within timber, from warping and bowing all the way to twisting and cupping.
By allowing semi-wet pieces of Scots Pine to distort into their desired forms, it aims to challenge the notion of furniture as a rigid, manufactured entity. To one that instead reminds us of the natural organic origins of the material and the beauty that can be found when things aren't all square and straight. If you have any questions or feedback please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
