I've always been someone who called for strict gun control, maybe even getting rid of guns altogether. I have younger siblings and after Sandy Hook, I was so emotional, I just wanted it to go away. But after a shooting happened in my hometown, less than an hour after a loved one was in the area, it gave me some much needed perspective. I'm not so sure removing the weapon will remove the violence. So, if you have an open mind, I encourage you to listen to someone who's hometown has been hit with gun violence and doesn't want to see it happen to anyone ever again. Someone who is mentally ill and knows how it can twist reality into something completely different and push you to dark places. Someone who could've turned out differently had I not been raised with certain morals.
