RCMP concerned someone could have 'inadvertently' aided B.C. murder suspects Corporal Julie Courchaine with the Manitoba RCMP held a briefing Friday afternoon in order to update member of the public on the manhunt for suspects wanted in connection to the deaths of three people in BC.

Police are concerned someone may have "inadvertently" aided Bryer Schmegelsky and Kam McLeod in fleeing the Gillam, Man. area.

RCMP continue to brave the rugged terrain of northern Manitoba amid the nationwide manhunt for Bryer Schmegelsky, 18, and his friend Kam McLeod, 19.

Schmegelsky and McLeod have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 64-year-old Leonard Dyck, a sessional lecturer at the University of British Columbia. The two are also suspects in the double-homicide of Australian Lucas Fowler and American Chynna Deese.
