During the senatorial debate, Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) and Gabriela (Mercedes Cabral) defend their respective stands on death penalty. Gabriela then pulls an ace in the hopes of discrediting her political rival. After the heated debate, an unknown assailant causes panic by firing at the senatorial candidates. Meanwhile, Rhian (Angel Locsin), Franco (Paulo Avelino), Marcial (Albert Martinez), and Ethan (JC de Vera) piece together the evidence they gathered on Tiago's devious plans. They later wait for the criminal leader's next move during the elections.
Dante (Emilio Garcia) resolves to make things right by testifying against Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) and his illegal activities. He reaches out to Rhian (Angel Locsin) later on and asks her to provide him and his family protection in exchange for his cooperation. Things turn to worse when an unidentified assailant attacks him and his family in the middle of the night. Meanwhile, Tiago holds a party for his supporters before the election results are announced. Unknown to him, Marcial (Albert Martinez) and Franco (Paulo Avelino) watch him from a distance, awaiting for his next move.
Marcial (Albert Martinez) and Franco (Paulo Avelino) find out that they were tricked by Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) after pursuing his henchmen during their operation. Meanwhile, Elai (Arjo Atayde) bids goodbye to a departed loved one after an unidentified assailant attacked him and his family. Extremely worried, Rhian (Angel Locsin) resolves to track down the attacker after Elai described her features. After hearing about the incident, Corazon (Eula Valdes) and Gabriela (Mercedes Cabral) visit the Sarmientos to express their sympathy. Gabriela later speaks to the press, causing Tiago to order his trusted Cuatro (Janice Hung) to clean up her act.
