How to get your kicks to sit in your mix

How to get your kicks to sit in your mix In this video, I’m going to go over a bit of my thinking when it comes to choosing, processing and mixing a kick drum. These are subtle sounds that at first might not seem like a big deal but believe me, this is the one thing in your track that you need to get right.

● Use EQ to reduce the boomy frequencies in your drum
● Use closed high hats to add top end to your deeper kicks
● Blend your kick drum into your mix by using reference tracks
