Caught out by a straightforward question from the lounge last time, I've been thinking about it since. At the end of 2016 I wrote an article listing where I thought the value was in off-the-shelf core range releases. I remember putting a lot of effort in, back then. When asked in the last vPub to throw out a couple of recommendations I realised I'd fallen a little out of touch as to where the value was in whisky right now. What bottles would I recommend where I felt confident in their ability to provide a nice experience, but for a good price?
