Today, I talk about:
Self-destructive behavior can come in all shapes and sizes. While some will go the more physical route, others will focus more on mental issues. For myself, it usually centers around sacrificing my own happiness for the happiness of others. And it leads to all kinds of bad things including depression and anxiety.
You need to pay attention to yourself if you truly want to be effective at anything. It's not selfishness to want more and feel that happiness you give others. Over time, it can easily weigh down upon you.
Find ways to cope and pay more attention to yourself. If you're not happy, there's a good chance those around you won't be either.
