After fighting their way through an entire bracket of the best Overwatch Contenders teams from around the world, only two teams remain to contest the championship title and the right to claim be the first to win The Gauntlet. Hosted this year in Seoul, South Korea, The Gauntlet is an international tournament that consisted of 10 teams, selected based on results from the 2019 Overwatch Contenders Pacific and Atlantic Showdowns respectively, Teams competed in a Group stage and later on were seeded into a double-elimination bracket to determine the world's best Overwatch Contenders team.
