The parable of the unforgiving servant is about life in the kingdom. All of the parables, in fact, that begin with “the kingdom of Heaven is likened unto...” are eschatological, but they also contain timeless principles about life as citizens in the kingdom. The one talent man, the goats, and the unforgiving servant had fundamental misunderstandings of grace, compassion, and forgiveness. While the eschatological aspects of those parables have been fulfilled, the principles within those parables remain. My podcast:
