Diesel filter problems 'widespread' as experts call for regulators to step in | ABC News Problems with diesel filters are emerging across a number of well-known car brands.

Toyota is already being sued as part of a class action, with lawyers alleging the company has been selling thousands of vehicles with faulty filters.

They are supposed to trap and burn emissions, but many drivers and some people working in the industry say they're getting clogged up, and in some cases, cars have to be towed.
