I did this DIY faux weathered wood technique in my guest bathroom. By using a bunch of different tools and decorative painting techniques, I bring to you this wood grain tutorial! Our guest bath (AKA: Matt’s bathroom) was just too loud for the casual, beachy, vibe we have in the rest of the house. So, I grabbed a few brushes, some glazing medium, paint, tint, and a boat-load of delicate tape and got finishing! This faux wood grain is over a painted surface.
By far, this is my favorite DIY home improvement project I've done in a long time. I may add shading and highlight in the future for more depth but for now, this finish is finished!
I hope you enjoy this video and don’t forget to comment down below if you try this in your own home. I’d love to see what colors and graining styles you achieve using these faux wall painting techniques.
