Kogi Election: A faulty democracy - Eniola Bello Kogi Election in view
As Kogi state indigenes gear up to go to the polls over the weekend, Governor, Yahaya Bello has said he expects nothing less than 100 per cent votes from the state’s central senatorial district on Saturday. Kogi State voters, especially those in Kogi West Senatorial District, have dual voting assignments on the same day. While they join voters from all other parts of the state to elect a governor who will steer the ship of the state for the next four years, they will also be voting to determine who will represent their zone in the senate following the annulment of the election of incumbent Senator Dino Melaye by the Appeal Court. What can we expect? Where will the pendulum likely to swing?
