PG&E cuts power to far fewer customers than expected as weather improves | Daily Blend More than 83,000 PG&E customers in El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sierra, Yuba and western Sonoma County can breath a sigh of relief. The utility announced Wednesday power will not be shutoff in any of those counties. In a press release, PG&E spokesperson Brandi Merlo explained weather models in advance of the shutoffs showed the possibility for either rain or dry offshore wind.
