UK Speaker John Bercow gives emotional statement after MPs bid farewell

UK Speaker John Bercow delivered an emotional statement Wednesday after several MPs, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Opposition Leader Jeremy Corbyn, and the leaders of the Liberal Democrats and SNP, paid tribute to his 10 years in parliament.

He also thanked his family for their support through "thick and thin."

Johnson, Corbyn and others spoke about his ability to command the house and knowledge of parliamentary procedure, with Johnson joking he would pepper every part of the chamber with his thoughts and opinions "like some uncontrollable tennis ball machine."
