Principal, teachers and all the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Haflong observed the 30th Annual sports Day in presence of huge gathering of students, parents and guardians on Thursday at Haflong. Amitabh Rahkhowa , ACS Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao and Chairman, Vidyalaya Management Committee attended as the Chief guest while Colonel Rajendra Singh Rawat commanding Officer 11 Assam Riffles attended as the Guest of honor.
The Day’s programme was started with guard of honour followed by welcome song by the student of the vidyalaya.
Mahendra Kumar Maurya, PGT, Hindi teacher accorded warm welcome to all the guests in the event.
This was followed by Deep Prajwalan, Saraswati Sharde, welcome dance, flag hoisting by the chief guest, National Anthem, march past by all the four houses and primary students and declaration of the meet open by the chief guest.
Lighting of torch by chief guest Oath taking ceremony by the students of the vidyalaya divided in four houses.
All the winners of the events including athletes were given medals, certificates and trophies by the Guests Deputy Commissioner, Amitabh Rajkhowa, Commanding Officer, R S Rawat etc.
This year Ashoka House was adjudged as the champion securing 50 gold medals etc.
