Audio Roleplay: The Nurse & The Soldier part 2

Audio Roleplay: The Nurse & The Soldier part 2 It’s time to return back to Finland. The year is 1939, Winter War has started and many soldiers are falling. You made it out from the battlefield (wounded but alive) and find yourself in the arms of a Finnish nurse.

I wanted to upload this audio today because this day holds a very special meaning to me and all the Finnish people. 102 years ago Finland gained its independence. And because of bravery of those Finnish people (on the battlefields and at home) who sacrificed their lives during Winter War we were able to keep our independence.

This audio contains two different versions of Finlandia hymn, the version I sing is from 1937 and the song you hear at the end of the audio is with the lyrics Finlandia-hymn is sing today. Actual audio roleplay stops at 17:17 and 2 minute slideshow (pictures taken by yours truly) starts at 17:19, please adjust your volume.

The reason I sing with different lyrics is that Wäinö Salo made those lyrics during 1937 and this audio is based on the events of the year 1939. Finlandia-hymn got its new lyrics 1940 so I wanted to stay truthful to the actual timeline.

I want to say thank you to Dragonscale Audio for translating few sentences for me in Swedish! Thank you!

I hope you will enjoy this audio!

Love you all to bits

Onnea Suomi 102💙🇫🇮
