Fears of another volcanic eruption in New Zealand have delayed efforts to recover bodies from White Island. Six people are confirmed dead and nine are still missing. New Zealand has warned that the death toll could rise, with dozens of survivors in intensive care. Medical officials said the scale of burns they are dealing with is unprecedented - - at least one of the casualties had burns covering up to 90% of their body. The eruption at White Island, also known as Whakaari, occurred on Dec 9 and there were about 47 people on the island when disaster struck.
