Goecho Avaaz has slammed Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai for planning to name the Margao road after former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar. They have taken a morcha and installed plaque and have named one section as Padmashri Bakibaab Borkar road and the other as Dr. Jack Sequeira road.
Meanwhile MMC Chairperson, Pooja Naik has stated that 40 individuals have put up boards naming roads in Fatorda Constituency. She has also stated that MMC has the highest regard for Padmashri Bakibab Borkar and all other icons of Goa. However, how can this group simply come and name roads without following due proces of law. She has stated that the new MMC CO will take over on Monday and examine the issue
