I want to let y’all people and fellow Africans from the Diaspora and all over the world now where I come from fully. The language i was speaking around the 00:30 second mark of the video is Nigerian Pidgin English, a form of broken or crooked english vocabulary that Nigerian locals use when they are with each other. I use to try and feel and act like I was African-American when I was in high school in certain parts especially my Junior and Senior year. I ultimately am not no matter how much I try to feel like I am. I admire them as a people, I love their music and their food, and their women are quite beautiful. Their accents are so contagious and have so much swag. However, at the end of the day I am an African who lived most of his childhood in Nigeria. To some Americans I’ll be seen as a foreigner but I have developed my accent to the point that I can easily meld with and associate with Americans. I want to let people know the common lies that have been told about Africa as a whole and how my life in Nigeria was like. It wasn’t perfect but it was a pretty great experience to live particularly in Lagos, Nigeria. The major business state of Nigeria and Africa as a whole. I can speak with a Nigerian accent as well and you will hear it come out from me especially when I rant because that is where I’m from first and foremost.
