The KHS Innopouch Bartelt® K-400 is a state-of-the-art horizontal form-fill- seal (HFFS) machine that integrates the latest magnetic linear technology. It stands out for its flexibility, reliability and very fast changeover times. Maximum flexibility is provided by independently controlled double pouch clamps utilizing magnetic linear motion control. With just the press of a button on the touch screen, pouch formats can be quickly and repeatable changed. This is good news for producers, who will also notice that the often time-consuming conversion between simplex (one pouch per machine cycle) and duplex operation (two pouches per machine cycle) in mechanical machines has been simplified by automation. The speed and ease of product changeovers is also supported by pre-recipe settings again, just by a command button on the touch screen. In duplex mode it can produce up to 150 pouches per minute. This machine has a linear workflow, up to four standard fill locations, servo-driven heat and cool bars for sealing, and servo driven pouch discharge. Standard equipment includes automatic film edge alignment, servo controlled feed roll system, “no open pouch – no fill” feature and servo-driven top seal assembly. Customers can select various product fillers according to the specific requirements of the particular product. This can be either by volumetric cup fillers, volumetric sliding gates, auger fillers, multi-head scales, liquid pumps or other specialized feeding systems. This modular machine can also be combined with the KHS Innopack Bartelt® CMC cartoner for a complete turnkey pouching line from a single source.
The machine has been designed with resource use in mind. One example of this is an optional closed recirculation cooling system to save on water use. Noise levels have also been reduced for a quieter workplace environment, making the KHS Innopouch Bartelt® K-400 comfortable and easy to operate.
