Vulcan Steam Locomotive Repair - Reversing Gear Keyway Fitting

Vulcan Steam Locomotive Repair - Reversing Gear Keyway Fitting A repair job done to the 1917 Vulcan Iron Works 0-4-0 Steam Locomotive at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture in Tifton, GA. The reversing gear had a loose key that had worn over the past 100 years to the point that it was very sloppy, resulting in pour timing on the engine. The keyway was slightly enlarged and then a custom key was machined to fit it in order to tighten it up.
