'Wolves Don't Live By The Rules' - Douglas Park Elementary School #CBCMusicClass

'Wolves Don't Live By The Rules' - Douglas Park Elementary School #CBCMusicClass Our version of Wolves Don’t Live By The Rules by Elisapie is performed by a Gr.5-8 choir from Douglas Park Elementary School in Regina, Saskatchewan. Our choir is an unauditioned group who meet a couple times a week over the lunchhour to sing and prepare songs for a variety of school and community events. Sharon Meredith (musical/artistic director), Nysa Ochitwa (guitarist, musical/artistic director), and Mike Schmalenberg (guitarist, musical/artistic director) chose this song early in the school year and presented it to the students. All of the students in the school from K-8 learned the song for our Orange T-shirt Day Assembly back in September. From there, the choir went on to add instrumentation and variations to the original version. Our group consists of 54 vocalists, 11 of whom play percussion instruments. Thanks to all of the students for the extra rehearsals towards the end, also for giving up their Saturday (including opting out of hockey tournaments) to do our recording! We are proud of all you!
Thanks to former colleague Danielle Dumelie for coming in to record us, to principal Tammy Duke and teachers Nicole Putz and Renee Montague for helping us out on recording day.
