3 Interesting Places to Visit from Thekkady | Lesser known attractions in Idukki

We were in Thekkady and we had just completed a wonderful experience of bamboo rafting in the morning. In the afternoon we decided to explore Ayyapancoil Hanging Bridge, Anchuruli, and Kalyanathandu. മുള ചങ്ങാടത്തിലുള്ള യാത്രയും കാട്ടിലൂടെ ഉള്ള സഞ്ചാരവും ഒക്കെ കഴിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരല്പം ക്ഷീണിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിലും അന്ന് ഉച്ച തിരിഞ്ഞ് അയ്യപ്പൻകോവിൽ പാലവും, അഞ്ചുരുളി ടണലും, കല്യാണത്തണ്ട കുന്നിൻപുറവും ഒക്കെ കാണുവാനായി ഞങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചു.

3 Interesting Places to Visit from Thekkady
1. Ayyapancoil Hanging Bridge
Built across the Periyar River, Ayyapancoil Hanging Bridge has a naturally lush green ambiance and a welcoming feel. We walked over the bridge to the other side of the river and enjoyed a short country boat ride.
2. Anchuruli
Anchuruli or Anjuruli is another lesser-known spot in Idukki district. This gushing location with Idukki dam's catchment area set as it's backdrop is gaining popularity among the local tourists. Anchuruli Tunnel is one of the major attractions here.
3. Kalyanathandu
Maybe the least known among the three is Kalyanathandu hill. Tough to reach there while you are not aware of the route, but once there, you will really enjoy the sunset where the sun disappears in the waterbody (catchment area of the Idukki Dam).
