Awards like Padma Bhushan encourage and give responsibility to sportspersons : PV Sindhu

India's first badminton world champion, PV Sindhu, has been honoured with the Padma Bhushan award for excellence in the field of sports. She thanked the Ministry, Badminton Association of India (BAI), Sports Authority of India (SAI) and also the government of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. 24-year-old Sindhu is among 16 persons named for the Padma Bhushan this year, the country's third highest civilian award.
