If there's a particular man you'd like to be with or you're in a relationship with a man who doesn't seem to feel as strongly as you, it's only natural to wonder how to make a man fall in love with you. Unfortunately, when you're in a situation like that, it's all to easy to act on impulse and make mistakes that drive your guy further away.
You Can't Convince him
One big mistake a lot of women make when they want to win a man's love is trying to convince the man to love them. If you've found yourself explaining the specific reasons you two are "so good together" or directly telling him about all the benefits he gets by being with you, then you've been guilty of this. Saying things like, "Aren't you glad you have a girlfriend who...?" also counts. But love isn't a conscious choice. He can't just decide to be in love with you because you have certain qualities or do nice things for him.
You Can't Guilt him into it
If convincing doesn't work (and it usually doesn't), the next step is often guilt. That is, trying to make a guy feel bad for not loving you despite your wonderful traits and all the things you do for him. This error is especially easy to make when you've been working too hard at the relationship.
If you think you have to do certain things (cook, clean, wear sexy clothes) or act a certain way to get a man's love, you're probably working to hard. That's not his fault, though. Whether or not he's in love with you, he probably is grateful for your kindness and support. Even so, he can't make himself fall in love because of it. So, make sure you do things for him because you want to, not because you think you can get certain feelings out of him.
You Can't Trap him
The third mistake women make in trying to get a man's love, or at least his commitment, is trying to make the man psychologically unable to leave. When a woman thinks the only thing men really want from their relationships is sex, she'll go all out to look as good as possible and do whatever he wants in bed. Physical pleasure might keep him around for a while, but if his emotional needs aren't being fulfilled, he'll eventually leave.
The extreme end of this method is when a woman lies about being on birth control, hoping the man will stick around once she's expecting his child. That may have worked a few generations ago, but these days it's an express ticket to single motherhood.
