Singapore crafters make pouches, wraps for wildlife affected by Australian bushfires

Singapore crafters make pouches, wraps for wildlife affected by Australian bushfires Singapore is sending help to bushfire victims in Australia. Hundreds of handmade animal pouches and wraps are being knitted for wildlife that have been injured, orphaned or left homeless by the fires. The informal community of crafters came together on Facebook and more than 2,000 people have joined the group. To reduce costs, they used spare yarn and donated bedsheets. According to an administrator of Singapore Rescue Crafters Connect, a kangaroo joey could use up to 30 pouches as they need several changes a day.
