We need to discuss the problem(s) with my live modular system.

We need to discuss the problem(s) with my live modular system. Strap in friend, we're going to spend an hour and 20 minutes hanging out together while I explain what's new, what's working (and what's NOT working) in my ever-evolving live system. SKIPPABLE CHAPTER LINKS & OTHER VIDS BELOW, YO!

▶ SYSTEM ON MODULARGRID:

▶ Shoutout to new rad modulez (or some new to me, at least):

▶ SKIPPABLE CHAPTERS
1:12 How many parts do I have? Walkthru inc M303 (New!), plus Prok Drums, Squid Salmple.
5:17 Effects in the System, Pre Fader use of Clouds
6:42 How many things do you need to play a set?
7:25 Ergonomic changes in the case, layout thoughts
8:20 Bassline Generation system, thoughts about moving Turing Machine
9:42 Controlling/Managing Percussion Quickly, Using Submixes
11:57 Squid Salmple Demo and Initial Thoughts, and wish for more Grids, ways to use multiple Grids, and Percussion Routing thoughts.
14:52 Squid Demo, testing what remapping I/O would do on a sample set.
16:18 Using other 3 outputs of VPME Euclidean Circles
16:55 How I'm making kick patterns now using Sequential Switch and two Euclidean patterns.
IMPORTANT FACT!! Euclidean Circles actually lets you do this 32-step trick in-module (But it combines Ring 1 & 2 to make a double length pattern) BUT my way, I get the most amount of immediately tweakable patterns for just 2HP extra burn without menu diving (eg not burning my snare ring to do it).
20:54 Using Disting to make sustained held notes that don't droop.
24:37 Problem with my kick method for straight 4/4's (the in-module method would be easier for that)
25:45 Using sequential switch to create incidental percussion and disappointment with using a master clock divider to reclock sequencers (Grids and Metropolis)
28:26 Getting Long passages on Metropolis without reclocking module slower. And then using 3 note sequences for acid.
31:45 A patching thought for getting longer call-and-response sequences.
33:38 Texturising Vocals with Clouds and using Radio Music loops for textures - and Sweep da dog. RIP.
36:28 Ochd for modulation of Clouds, Radio Music for vinyl crackle.
39:04 Cable Management - Reusable Twisties I found on Amazon.
40:36 Why Lyra 8 makes a good modular-accompaniment/unique benefits.
43:35 Lyra's Gnarliness
45:40 Where I explain what's the greatest accessory you can buy for your studio. No really.
46:20 MIDIGAL as alternative modular accompaniment tool for foolproof polysynth use alongside modular.
47:02 My motto/thing I've been trying to bear in mind while practicing.
50:17 Q&A: Why so many mixers? What are your unity mixers doing?
52:03 What are the Divkid mutes doing? (controlling Squid outs, and sending modulation - section includes a demo of some Squid Salmple banks)
55:46 Using Divkid mutes to send Turing machine modulation to Plaits.
58:21 How do I experiment with other tempos? Following with a demo at 95 BPM and talk about modulation to keep stuff alive at slow tempos.
1:04:17 Ochd Modulating Plaits FM and Morph inputs
1:09:10 Ending thoughts about my congealing system.
1:09:46 How I tune my oscillators/system! Demo of my method and some other by-ear tunings.
1:19:23 Wrap up.
