Would-be robbers plow through front of store in attempt to steal ATM

A group of thieves crashed a car and a pickup truck into a Clayton County convenience store in an effort to steal cash from an ATM. However, they left without stealing a dime.
The owner of the Food Mart off Mt. Zion Road told Channel 2 Action News he takes the ATM’s cash home with him when he leaves every night.“There was no money in the ATM,” Aziz Pirani said. “They didn’t know I guess, because when I leave in the night time, I don’t leave money in the ATM.”
Surveillance video shows the foiled plot in action, with both vehicles slamming into the gas station before at least four men jump out and try to yank the ATM from the wall.
