Reality of RTI Amendment Bill | Analysis by Dhruv Rathee

The RTI Amendment Bill was recently passed in the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha as well. This bill seeks to amend the empowering RTI Act by changing the tenure and salaries of information commissioners as per the wish of the center govt. In this video, I analyse what this RTI Amendment Bill really means for the institution as a whole and what impact it will have on the transparency provided to citizens.
