Sweeney Lane Apartments in Daly City provides 52 apartments for individuals and families earning up to 60 percent of the area median income -- approximately $72,000 for a five-person household.
Sweeney Lane opened in 2016 as a result of a partnership that included the County of San Mateo and the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, among numerous other funders.
In this short video, Myrna, a Sweeney Lane resident, provides a personal look at the importance of housing that is affordable to working families. San Mateo County provided financial assistance to the project through the voter-approved 2016 Measure K half-cent sales tax extension, which provides local funds for local needs.
Sweeney Lane is located at 6800 Mission Street in Daly City and is operated by the nonprofit MidPen Housing.
