Use treated waste water in effective way, directs Delhi Jal Board The Yamuna monitoring committee has directed the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to use treated waste water in an effective manner. The committee points out that less than 20% of waste water is being used now. 89 MGD out of 489 MGD treated waste water generated by DJB. In a report released last week, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) empowered committee also stated that common effluent treatment plants (CETPs) of DSIIDC utilised less than 10% of the treated water. The report has asked the authorities to identify potential users in a 5km radius of each sewage treatment plant (STP) in Delhi.
