So we’ll be having a close look at the Alfawise cordless stick vacuum model number AR182BLDC. It’s one of the least expensive and best-performing stick vacuums at its price range right now. I put it through a series of tests to see how it fares against more expensive options and if it’s worth your consideration.

Full disclosure, I was sent this product for free by Gearbest, but you’ll see that the tests I do on all the vacuums leave me no room to play favorites. So with that out way, let’s get started.

The Alfawise AR182BLDC has the same design cues as the Dyson V8, meaning it’s got a removable wand and interchangeable tools that give it good versatility.

You can use it in different configurations as a handheld or stick vacuum.

Out of the box, you’ll get a total of four attachments – the main cleaning head, mini turbo brush, crevice tool, and a dusting brush.
The main cleaning head comes with two different brush tools – a soft roller tool for cleaning bare floors and a standard brush roll Alfawise calls the hard brush floor tool for carpet.

It has a trigger switch but unlike the Dyson, there’s no need to continually squeeze it for power. Once the trigger is pressed, the motor stays on. To shut off, you’ll have to squeeze the trigger a second time.

This vacuum has two power settings – low and high with the switch located at the back of the motor.

Alfawise says that this vacuum has 17,000 pascals of suction. I measured airflow at the wand using an anemometer and it registered 16 cfm at low and 23 cfm on high.

Compared to the Roidmi F8 that I tested in a previous review, its highest setting is equivalent to the F8’s lowest setting.

One feature I like is the capacity of the dust cup. It can hold up to 800 milliliters of dry dirt.

This is possible because of the smaller filter assembly that enables Alfawise to carve out more space.
Looking inside there are two filters – foam and cloth filter. Both of these filters are washable.

Underneath the dust, cup is a trap door for disposing of dirt. However, it does not have release latch so you’ll have to pull the lever to open.

The whole dust cup assembly can be removed if you need to clean any stuff that sticks on the metal shroud.

Next, let’s look at the pros of this vacuum.

Despite having less suction than the Roidmi F8 I had previously tested, the AR182BLDC performed extremely well in nearly all the cleaning tests that I did.

It was able to pick up small to medium sized surface dirt on both hard floors and carpet.

If you want to see the complete details of these results please check the link below to my blog.

In deep cleaning tests, I rubbed 50 grams of coffee grounds on medium pile carpet to see how well it cleans embedded dirt.
To my surprise, it did exceptionally well as it picked up an average of 94.8% on averages in the three tests I did.

One of the reasons why it did so well on this test is the seal around the brush.

Another pro is the LED headlight that helps with visibility.
Run time is decent. I tested it with the main cleaning head attached. It ran for 37 minutes and 28 seconds on the default setting and 13 minutes and 30 seconds on high.

Considering its capability of cleaning embedded dirt, that number is decent.

On bare floor, you can just leave it at the default setting as the soft roller will do the job at picking up debris. This will maximize battery life and allow you to clean a larger area.

This vacuum isn’t very noisy especially on the low where it produces only 65.8 decibels. On high, that number jumps up to a still acceptable 71.1 decibels.

However, since this is a budget cordless vacuum there are some issues that you need to be aware of.

The first issue is its inability to clean large bits of dirt. The low clearance of the main cleaning head makes it impossible to clean stuff like Fruit loops.

Even if you lift up the cleaning head, the space around the soft roller bar is so tight that the Cheerios will just wedge in between the roller and inner frame.

Filtration is another issue as this vacuum does not have a sealed system. The two filters will easily get soiled even after just a few uses so you’ll have to clean it often.
Dirt will tend to stick on the plastic wheels. Make sure to clean this part regularly.

I also noticed that the main cleaning head has lots of nooks and crannies so dirt tends to stick on these areas.

Don’t expect the build quality to be at par with the Dyson V8 or any high-end vacuum. Remember that this is a cheap cordless vacuum so set expectations accordingly.
