This is an example of our Introductory Session , done with a larger group of 2nd - 5th graders (16)... We first engage students with a posing question to test their knowledge on what we will be doing in the program . We then go into a warm up rhythm exercise. After which students are broken up into groups to complete a “getting to know you activity” . This helps the facilitator get to know everyone’s name . We then come back together to Perform the Art we have created . We are a hip hop based performing arts organization... every session will include a performance to demonstrating students assigned task.
