This is the terrifying moment a foundry worker was almost burned alive after loading wet scrap metal into a furnace.
It is unknown where the video, which shows the worker narrowly avoid death, was filmed.
Despite the molten explosion slamming into his forklift truck, the worker is able to drive away before getting out and running to safety.
It appears the truck's windshield protected him from a fiery and horrific demise.
At the start of the clip, the man is marked in front of the furnace, waiting for it to open.
There is no suggestion of what's to come with another worker, to the left, also getting ready to load metal into a furnace.
That worker successfully dumps the scrap metal he is carrying, with the furnace barely reacting.
However, the man closest to the camera sees his heap of metal blow up in a dramatic and frightening explosion.
Afterwards, seemingly in shock, he drives the forklift in several different directions before pulling away to the right and getting out.
Though shaken, he appears unharmed.
The explosion seemed to have been caused by the metal being wet before being thrown into the furnace.
According to FoundryMag, 'molten metal splash is the most common cause of melt deck injuries and is caused by the addition of wet materials to the molten bath'.
It adds: 'Water, moisture, or any liquid-bearing material instantaneously turns to steam when coming in contact with molten metal — expanding to 1,600 times its original volume and producing a violent explosion.'
