Josh Sigurdson reports on the latest breaking news of potentially imminent war with Iran as thousands of troops head to Iraq following the death of Iran's most important and respected military commander Qassem Soleimani at the Baghdad Airport.
After a century of the United States attempting coups and targeting the country, last June, two ships in the Gulf of Oman were hit by an object and burst into flames. The US government claimed it was Iran while the ship owners said it was not. That story went out the window. Then a US contractor was killed in an attack by an Iran backed militia group. This group is known for fighting extremists in the region. The US then killed 25 militiamen which was followed by the embassy being taken over in Baghdad. The military was deployed and Iran's top commander was killed. Now there's talk of further retaliation from both sides.
The craziest part is that this is all under the guise of "deescalating," "avoiding war" and "keeping US personnel safe" in the region. This literally does the opposite.
This is a continuation of big global government that we have seen play out for decades, but so many are sitting on their hands because it's so-called anti-establishment Trump doing it. It's sad that people don't see the irony.
